This Is Where It Begins

Two weeks ago I moved from Indiana, where I was born, raised, and graduated from Indiana University. I moved to Nashville, TN for nothing more than change of scenery and faces. And a tinge of excitement for the music scene, night life, and the promise of opportunity. I quickly figured out that graduating college did not mean instant salary and middle-of-the-ladder job. I am starting at the same level a current high school student is easily able to attain -- a sales associate at a popular retail chain. I start on Tuesday. See you then.

I graduated from Indiana University with an Apparel Merchandising Major, Business Minor. But, here I am, starting as a lowly sales associate at $8/hour. This is my testament to see if college was worth it. Will I rise solely on my own? Or will my education help me along the way? This is documentation to my rise to the top. Where's the top? Well, I'm not yet Retail Queen, but I aspire to be.
